For the holiday, the “Old Town Road” rapper paid tribute to Minaj and mimicked her look from the music video video for her 2011 hit “Super Bass.” He rocked the same pink animal print bodysuit and even had the half-blonde, half-pink wig to match.
Nas X shared his recreation to social media and captioned it, “NAS MARAJ !!!!”
Many praised the 21-year-old, however, fellow rapper 50 Cent appeared to have a different opinion regarding the costume choice.
“What the… Nikki [sic] come get him !!! Lol,” the “Get Rich or Die Tryin'” star wrote, to which Nas responded, “why u in barb business?”
The next day Nas X, born Montero Lamar Hill, fired off another tweet and while he didn’t specifically call anyone out by name, fans presumed it was aimed towards his critics.
“Bro i don’t bother a soul in this industry. all i do is tweet and make bangers. leave me alone,” he said.
And, on Monday, the “Panini” rapper added, “it’s november 2nd and grown men are waking up to have group discussions about a costume i wore on halloween.”
Both tweets received over 14,000 retweets and hundreds of thousands of likes.
