Credit: Neil KrugCage the Elephant has hit number one on Billboard‘s Alternative Airplay chart for the 10th time in the band’s career.
The Kentucky rockers notched the milestone thanks to their current single, “Skin and Bones (Mix 2020).”
With 10 number-ones on Alternative Airplay, Cage now ties Foo Fighters for fourth most leaders on the ranking, which first launched in 1988. Red Hot Chili Peppers has the most, with 13, followed by Green Day with 12 and Linkin Park with 11.
As its title suggests, “Skin and Bones (Mix 2020)” is an alternate version of the song “Skin and Bones,” off Cage’s latest album, 2019’s Social Cues. The lead Social Cues single “Ready to Let Go” and the title track also hit number one on Alternative Airplay.
